Mihon Quickstart Guide
How Mihon Works
Part 1 : Install the App
Select the one that suits your preferences. You can install multiple apps together. All of these apps are compatible with Mihon extensions :
note : Mihon is the successor to Tachiyomi
Part 2 : Install Extension
Extensions are independent apps. Similar to other apps, extensions can be manually installed using .apk
download or through repositories that will also handle auto update. The most popular repository are
Keiyoushi. Here's how to install the repository:
- Automatic
Add repository
- Manual
Settings -> Browse -> Extension repos / Edit repos -> Add
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/keiyoushi/extensions/repo/index.min.json
Part 3 : Selecting Extension
After adding the repo you can view and select list of extensions inside the app. Quality of the extensions heavily relies on what website it scrape from (target website). You should experiment with each option, but you can use this guideline to simplify the process:
- See
Manga websites toplist to get familiar with names of the top/popular sites. It's more likely that extensions associated with these top/popular websites are better.
- Choose website with a long track record and proven reliability. You'll want a website that's stick around, as the extension will cease to function if the website source is dead.
- At times, website owners may attempt to block Mihon. Choose website that tolerate scraping or be prepared to deal with blocking issues.
Part 4 : Troubleshooting
This guide is intended for newcomers who want to start using Mihon, If you previously had Tachiyomi installed, you'll need to uninstall your old extensions, and
backup & restore your manga list. For more troubleshooting see resources below :
